Originally born and raised in Germany, JJ and his wife Angie moved to Canada in 2010. They established their home and JJ’s workshop in Terrace B.C along the shores of the Skeena River.

Every piece leaving JJ’s workshop is a custom work of art. By giving each individual work of art all the time it requires, JJ is able to maintian the highest standards of attention to detail. There is nothing more imortant to JJ than ensuring each customer receives nothing less than his best work.

JJ has represented Canada twice at the Huskycup in Germany. He has also competed in the Chetwynd Chainsaw Carving Competition and the Pulpitrock cup in Norway.

JJ’s art has been shipped world wide to collectors, businesses, and communities alike.

While chainsaw carving is JJ’s main focus , he also makes rustic furniture, antler carvings, and portraits. He is skilled in airbrushing, which he uses to enhance many of his pieces and to create a few beautiful murals.
